Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Walmart, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and reliable front-end and back-end services and applications. Your primary focus will be on developing advertising technology applications and services that drive business growth and improve customer experience. Your responsibilities will include: Developing highly scalable services to handle millions of requests per day and solving complex software systems issues using cutting-edge technology Collaborating with data scientists and product managers to conduct various tests across different areas of the Ad Tech platforms to improve customer experience and ad relevance Leading high-visibility projects across the organization and driving technical innovation and excellence Demonstrating expertise in coding and software development, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions that meet business requirements Participating in the design and development of cloud-native microservices, APIs, and data storage systems Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience in designing and building scalable and reliable front-end and back-end services and applications Strong full-stack development experience, with front-end expertise in JavaScript/ReactJS and back-end experience in developing RESTful APIs using RDBMS or NoSQL storage systems Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and GCP, and containerization using Docker Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript, with broad knowledge of open-source libraries, design patterns, and microservice architecture Experience with CI/CD and unit testing, as well as production system operations (logging, telemetry, alerting, etc.) A sharp eye for detail and a desire to learn, win, collaborate, and thrive in a challenging environment Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: Experience with Agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git Knowledge of machine learning and data science concepts, with experience in applying these concepts to real-world problems Experience with cloud-based data storage and analytics platforms, such as AWS Redshift or Google BigQuery Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, with experience in securing cloud-based applications and services Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience in working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walmart, we're committed to helping our associates grow and develop their careers.
