Job Summary As a QA Test Lead at Netflix Game Studio, you will play a critical role in building and managing our Compatibility and Consistency (CCQA) team, focusing on game compatibility and performance testing for Android, iOS, and other consumer devices. You will lead a team of QA Sellers and Senior Test Examiners, ensuring that all game titles meet the highest standards of quality and comply with business timelines. Key Responsibilities Game Compatibility and Quality Assurance: Lead and manage game compatibility and quality assurance across Android, iOS, and other consumer devices. Team Leadership: Lead and oversee Sr. Investigators and QA Merchants, driving individual and team excellence. Project Management: Project manage and maintain testing schedules for all game titles in your area. Issue Triage and Resolution: Triage complex issues and drive them to resolution. Requirements Gathering and Risk Identification: Own and drive requirements gathering and risk identification. Collaboration with Engineering Teams: Work with engineering teams to identify requirements and develop test plans. Test Planning and Execution: Define test coverage, create and maintain test cases, report test results, and assess readiness to deliver throughout the software development lifecycle. Tooling and Automation: Contribute to the development and identification of suitable tooling and frameworks to support all Compatibility test efforts. Product Quality and Usability: Evaluate product quality, usability, and device limitations. Mobile Testing Lab: Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to utilize and improve our mobile testing lab. Min-Specs and Test Systems: Key contributor in identifying and constructing min-specs, test systems, and device coverage. Release Board Activities: Participate in release board activities. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Industry Experience: Minimum 2 years of industry experience in QA. QA Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience leading QA teams in Games QA. QA Project Management: Minimum 2 years of QA project management experience. Mobile Compatibility Experience: Desire for mobile compatibility experience. Technical Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of PC processors, memory, graphics, network technologies, and virtual machines. Operating System Expertise: Proficient in installing and maintaining all supported operating systems. iOS/Android Testing Experience: Exceptional iOS/Android testing experience. Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of technical requirements, tools, and processes. Test Case Creation: Experience translating requirements into effective test cases. Xcode and ADB Experience: Experience with Xcode, utilizing IPAs, and pulling device logs, as well as using Android Troubleshoot Scaffold (ADB) for pulling device logs, installing builds, etc. Preferred Qualifications: QA Project Management: Demonstrated expertise in QA project management across multiple titles simultaneously. GameBench Experience: Experience with GameBench or other performance testing tools. Gadget Farm Experience: Experience with utilizing/building gadget farms. Skills and Competencies Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to spot subtle issues. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyze complex issues and drive them to resolution.
