About the Role We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Oracle PL/SQL Programmer to join our Application Solutions team at BAE Systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and testing PL/SQL objects and programs, packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, materialized views, indexes, and reports. Job Description As an Oracle PL/SQL Programmer, you will collaborate with technical leads, other developers, and internal business customers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Legal teams. Your primary responsibilities will include: Designing, developing, maintaining, and testing PL/SQL objects and programs, packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, materialized views, indexes, and reports. Participating in DevOps phases of requirements, design, development, testing, production release, and operations in the resolution of routine user and system issues and problems. Collaborating with technical leads, other developers, and internal business customers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, and Legal teams. Developing and maintaining Oracle databases, including creating and modifying database objects, implementing data security, and optimizing database performance. Working with various development tools, including SQL Developer, TOAD, Oracle Database Enterprise, JavaScript, HTML, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Application Server. Participating in Agile (Scrum) delivery methodologies and contributing to the development of high-quality software products. Providing technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, including training and mentoring junior developers. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 3 years of experience in PL/SQL programming, Oracle database development, and software development. Strong understanding of Oracle database concepts, including data modeling, database design, and performance optimization. Experience with development tools, including SQL Developer, TOAD, Oracle Database Enterprise, JavaScript, HTML, Apache Tomcat, and Oracle Application Server. Knowledge of Agile (Scrum) delivery methodologies and experience with version control systems, such as Git. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Oracle APEX and/or PeopleSoft development. Knowledge of configuration management tools, such as Ansible or Puppet. Experience with cloud-based development environments, such as AWS or Azure. Certifications in Oracle database administration, PL/SQL programming, or related areas.
