Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Optician to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Work From Home Optician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support in our eye care center. Your primary duties will include verifying prescription information, assisting customers with purchasing decisions, and completing lens and eyewear orders. Responsibilities As a Work From Home Optician, your key responsibilities will include: Verifying prescription information and ensuring accuracy Assisting customers with purchasing decisions and providing expert advice on eyewear and lenses Completing lens and eyewear orders in a timely and efficient manner Providing exceptional customer service and support to meet and exceed customer expectations Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the eye care industry Collaborating with other team members to achieve business objectives and goals Ensuring compliance with state regulations and licensing requirements Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in optometry or a related field preferred Current licensure as an optician in the state of Virginia (or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months) Minimum 2 years of experience as an optician, preferably in a retail or eye care setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner Proficiency in computer software and technology, including point-of-sale systems and optical software Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial in this role: Bachelor's degree in optometry or a related field Experience working in a retail or eye care setting, preferably in a supervisory or management role Knowledge of optical software and technology, including frame inventory management and lens processing Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software and systems Ability to speak multiple languages, including Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the region Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner Proficiency in computer software and technology, including point-of-sale systems and optical software Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and service Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities, with a flexible and positive attitude Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and development.
