Key Responsibilities

As a Network Security Engineer with Delta Airlines, your primary responsibilities will include:


Designing and supporting the infrastructure that underpins Delta's applications, clients, partners, and merchant availability and security
Providing IT support to secure internal, partner, vendor, and external connectivity to Delta and occupant applications across multiple critical data center infrastructures
Maintaining and supporting firewall hardware and software, including site implementations, inventories, infrastructure planning, and break/fix services
Supporting enterprise remote access clients to align with client-edge security technology and user-centric agents on workstations
Collaborating with Delta's business divisions to ensure firewall policies and access control guidelines are met
Providing on-call support for critical facilities and infrastructure components
Suggesting and implementing departmental policies, procedures, and standards
Ensuring compliance with all governing corporate policies and procedures
Managing projects for data center and remote communication room infrastructure upgrades, renovations, and enhancements


Essential Qualifications

To succeed as a Network Security Engineer with Delta Airlines, you will need:


A bachelor's degree in a relevant field
A strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VPN, firewalls, and security protocols
Experience managing and maintaining server infrastructure on-premises and in the cloud
Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
