About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and highly skilled Manager, Aircraft Network Security Program (ANSP) to join our Fleet Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing a comprehensive ANSP strategy that ensures the safety and security of our aircraft and passengers. Key Responsibilities

As a Manager, Aircraft Network Security Program, you'll be responsible for:


Leading a technically diverse engineering team and working with multiple departments within Tech Ops and other Delta divisions to establish and maintain a robust ANSP program.
Developing and implementing a Change Management Program with oversight of the TechOps ANSP/D301 OpSpec and associated programs.
Owns all elements of the ANSP value stream roadmap – inputs, strategy/demand, tactical/operational, and production/execution.
Acting as the ANSP Data Security Manager – on file with the FAA CMO.
Acting as the Airline Security Focal Point for all Sensitive Security Information (SSI).
Defining policies for ANSP program development and implementation.
Monitoring and providing Change Management for Boeing Airplane Network Security Operator Guidance (ANSOG), Airbus Security Handbook, ABC Security Handbook, ARINC Specifications, RTCA Documents, and FAA regulations.
Collaborating with key TechOps stakeholders including Regulatory Compliance, Tooling, Training, Components Maintenance, Materials, Logistics, Line/Base/MRO Maintenance, Engineering, and Maintenance Programs.
Representing Delta Air Lines as the Security Focal at A4A Cybersecurity Working Group, AEEC/AMC Cybersecurity user forum, and Airbus ASUP.
Responsible for defining a Fleet Committee structure (like ETOPS Committee, ref TOPP 20-20-50) through establishment of a ANSP Steering Committee, which would allow for reviews and updates of the proposed changes that affect or revise the ANSP programs.
Creating the ANSP Technical Committee to provide technical coordination in support of the ANSP program.
Co-Charing the ANSP Steering Committee.
Delivering periodic briefings on the Program to the ANSP Steering Committee.
Chairs and Participates in the ANSP Technical Committee.
Provides technical coordination to the ANSP Technical Committee.
Represents TechOps on the ACFC (ref TOPP 20-10-75).
Manages the aircraft software configuration for all fleets.
Ensures sustainment of connected aircraft systems.
Manages connectivity for e-Enabled aircraft and e-Enabled systems (D301).
Provides management and oversight on all supporting programs to maintain a strategic vision for ANSP compliance.
Engages in industry working groups, including ARINC, RTCA, SDL, NIS.
Maintains employee records, attendance, work priority, and work distribution.
Responsible for ensuring compliance with FAA regulations and Delta procedures regarding the issuance of, as well as maintaining surveillance over the accomplishment of, engineering documentation improvements to ensure that risks are properly managed.
Responsible for providing the approval authority on engineering documentation related to assigned equipment/responsibilities.
Responsible for ensuring that proper training, both Delta and Technical, is provided for each employee.
Responsible for ensuring that the Safety program is maintained within the department and the CASS program, Reliability, and Maintenance Programs are complied with according to the requirements of TOPP.
Develops both strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment that results in employee safety and wellbeing.


What You Need To Succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll need:


Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent technical aviation related discipline experience in an aviation engineering organization.
Extensive industry and regulatory interfaces.
Familiarity with airline flight operations and support systems and FAR 121 regulations.
Knowledge of Technical Operations policies and procedures preferred.
Ability to communicate to a diverse audience in various formal and informal environments.
Ability to analyze incomplete information and implement timely decision making while mitigating risk factors.
Must be able to develop and direct an ANSP strategy, communicate with internal/external partners and leaders, and develop strong partnerships with key stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of aircraft systems, software, and networking.
Understanding of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
Working knowledge of AC 119-1, DO-355/ED-204, DO-356/ED-203A, DO-326/ED-202A, and all associated ARINC specifications, all associated ISO/IEC documents, and all manufacturer security requirements/recommendations.
Knowledge and or experience with packaging a program for FAA OpSpec approval.
Must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
