About the Role
The Advertising Platforms Data Experiences team is seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Data Scientist to join the Product and Client Insights Group. As a key member of this team, you will play a crucial role in driving the analysis, evaluation, development, implementation, and assessment of analytical solutions that are essential to maintaining and growing our business. Your primary focus will be on turning vast amounts of data generated by user searches, app content, and App Store settings into actionable business insights that improve the client experience and drive discovery and effectiveness for app developers.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and data-driven solutions to drive business outcomes and enhance user experiences
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders, to identify opportunities and prioritize projects
Work with large datasets to extract insights and develop predictive models using techniques such as regression, clustering, and time-series analysis
Develop and maintain data visualizations and reporting tools to communicate complex insights to stakeholders
Partner with data engineers to design and implement data pipelines and architectures that support business needs
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and Experience
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field is required. A postgraduate degree is preferred. At least 3 years of experience in a data science role, ideally in the digital advertising industry or product assessment, is essential.
Technical Skills
Programming skills in Python and SQL
Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Glimmer, and Scene
Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Familiarity with data warehousing and data governance principles
Soft Skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
Experience working with cross-functional teams and stakeholders

Additional Technical Skills
Experience with A/B experimentation and clickstream data analysis
Familiarity with modern data advances, including data lakes and data warehouses
