Stack IT Data Governance Team Lead at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to: * Directly impact blithequark's information culture by leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of our data governance framework * Work on a wide range of data governance capabilities, including data education, stewardship, quality, metadata management, and more * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data governance and quality initiatives * Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of data governance initiatives * Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies and tools to support data governance and quality initiatives * Work with our data governance stage teams to automate data governance processes and workflows * Serve as the product owner for data governance-related projects and initiatives * Represent the data governance team and be the primary advocate for data governance initiatives across the organization **What You'll Do** As a Full Stack IT Data Governance Team Lead at blithequark, your responsibilities will include: * Leading the development, implementation, and maintenance of blithequark's data governance framework * Developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards * Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data governance and quality initiatives * Developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of data governance initiatives * Researching, evaluating, and recommending new technologies and tools to support data governance and quality initiatives * Working with our data governance stage teams to automate data governance processes and workflows * Serving as the product owner for data governance-related projects and initiatives * Representing the data governance team and being the primary advocate for data governance initiatives across the organization **All You'll Need for Success** To succeed in this role, you will need: * A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as computer science, information technology, or business administration * At least 5 years of experience in data governance and information management * Experience working with data governance capabilities, such as data education, stewardship, quality, metadata management, and more * Experience developing and implementing key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of data governance initiatives * Experience working with business intelligence tools, data lakes, and data warehouses * Experience working with sensitive data, such as PII, SPII, and PHI, and relevant regulatory requirements, such as GDPR and CCPA * Experience working with data quality and observability tools * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines **Favored Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: * Experience in change management, recognizing downstream data impacts for regulatory requirements and reporting * Experience automating data governance processes and workflows using market-leading data governance tools * Experience developing and implementing data governance artifacts, such as data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, data development controls, and data component-level data quality controls * Experience working as an information steward, serving as a data expert, examining, and investigating data access, serving as a product owner for a data item, data space, and more * Experience working in DevOps and Agile environments * Carrier, avionics, travel, or hospitality experience **Abilities, Licenses, and Certifications** To be successful in this role, you will need: * Working knowledge of SQL * Strong understanding of data and analytics concepts * Data governance certifications, such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) and DGSP (Data Governance and Stewardship Professional) * Ability to bridge the communication gap by translating technical data governance concepts to business stakeholders * Ability to be adaptable in a rapidly changing environment and pivot quickly to new areas of focus * Ability to manage projects and teams from concept to execution **What You'll Get** As
