As a key member of our Insurance Call Center, you'll be responsible for handling property & casualty (P&C) related customer service and billing inquiries via telephone. Job Summary As an Insurance Customer Service Representative at Blithequark, you'll work from home and be responsible for handling inbound and outbound calls, emails, and direct mail to review policies, provide quotes, and process changes. You'll utilize your knowledge of the insurance industry and company policies to provide efficient and professional customer service. Key Responsibilities Contact policyholders through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal, update policies, and enhance retention. Counsel policyholders concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws to ensure sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance. Provide quotes on endorsements as requested and identify opportunities to apply discounts. Process changes to policies within EPIC and submit changes to specific companies. Follow up with companies to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner. Review policy information and reference company-specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims. Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary and follow up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner. Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information. Document all activity (changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling) in EPIC. Requirements Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment. Property and Casualty insurance license required. Preferred Qualifications Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment.
