About the Job
We're seeking an experienced and dynamic Bookkeeping and Information professional to join our growing Accounting team. As a Full Stack Financial Analyst, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive key framework initiatives, and develop comprehensive accounting information requirements. Your expertise in US GAAP, income systems, and core data skills will be essential in this role, and you'll have the chance to work with a talented team of professionals who share your passion for accounting and data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Technical Accounting, Functional Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders on policies, processes, and projects, and help drive key framework initiatives and improvements
Design and plan comprehensive accounting information requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial cycles
Lead functional improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close schedule
Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases through accounting requirements design, ad-hoc analyses, new product launches, etc.
Work with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation analysis with the help of the analytics team
Review new product designs presented during internal Financial Compliance meetings and evaluate the impact on existing or need for new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger
Cross-collaborate with collaborating teams on the journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Revenue Subledger
Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package expectations
Ad-hoc analyses and projects as assigned
Essential Qualifications
3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, or business intelligence
Solid knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS a plus
Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data, Python a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments
Ability to communicate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
Knowledge of accounting software and systems, such as ERP and accounting platforms
Experience with automation tools and technologies, such as robotic process automation (RPA)
Certifications in accounting or related fields, such as CPA or CMA
