About the Job We are seeking a dynamic and driven Bookkeeping and Information professional to join our growing Accounting team. As a proactive and self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of US GAAP, revenue systems, and core data skills, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally. In this role, you will be at the forefront of cross-team collaboration, serving as the go-to expert for accounting partners in the data and engineering spaces, creating a unique blend of liabilities. Key Responsibilities Work cross-functionally with Technical Accounting, Functional Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other stakeholders on policies, processes, and projects, and help drive key framework initiatives and improvements Design and plan comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the seamless automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial cycles Lead functional improvement initiatives to further streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close schedule Monitor data quality of journal entries generated via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases through accounting requirements design, ad-hoc analyses, new product launches, etc. Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation analysis with the help of the analytics team Review new product designs presented during internal Financial Compliance meetings and evaluate the impact on existing or need for new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger Cross-collaborate with partnering teams on the journal entry streams for new or existing products for automation via the Revenue Subledger Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including but not limited to: GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, accounts receivable reconciliations, review journal entries, and review close package expectations Ad-hoc analyses and projects as assigned Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, or business intelligence Solid knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition required; knowledge of IFRS a plus Intermediate/advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data, Python a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing environments Ability to communicate with all levels of management and cross-functional teams, both internally and externally Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with data engineering and accounting domains Knowledge of revenue systems and financial cycles Experience with automation tools and technologies Strong understanding of data quality and data governance principles Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to supporting our employees' growth and development.
