About the Role
We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Manager to lead our team in designing, developing, and delivering large-scale electronic applications using object-oriented languages. As a key member of our Organization Planning Business group, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our products and services. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of our team and contributing to the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement software components, frameworks, and libraries that achieve significant programming impact
Lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale electronic applications using object-oriented languages
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for software reuse across issue areas and refactor code to achieve higher levels of impact in the codebase
Ensure that language and local market requirements are met and maintained by a specific perspective
Manage features that touch all Apple Organizations Planning Exchange services, including account management, application, music, and video purchase/download/capability, subscription management, and more
Work closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements, design, and implement solutions that meet business needs
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software development


Essential Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Strong object-oriented design and analysis skills
Experience developing large-scale electronic applications using object-oriented languages
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to self-direct and work independently, as well as collaboratively as part of a team


Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Experience with social databases, JDBC, and object-relational designs like Rest, JPA, etc.
Experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra, Voldemort, Memcached, etc.
Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, etc.
TCP/IP networking experience, with protocols like HTTP, HTTPS, SSL
Strong coding skills, with the ability to write clear, concise, and well-documented code
