Tesla Government Inc., a rapidly growing small business based in Falls Church, Virginia, is seeking a talented and versatile Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and deploying new features for our client-facing websites, leveraging a modern microservice architecture and a diverse tech stack that includes Java, Python, Typescript, Spring Boot, React, MySQL, and AWS.

The Role

As a Full Stack Developer at Tesla Government, you will be an integral part of our team, working on a relatively new project with a modern tech stack. You will have the opportunity to work on both front-end and back-end development, collaborating with our agile team that includes daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and weekly deployments.

Key Responsibilities


Design, develop, test, and deploy new features for client-facing websites using a modern microservice architecture.
Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize project requirements.
Participate in daily stand-ups, bi-weekly sprint planning, and weekly deployments.
Work with a diverse tech stack including Java, Python, Typescript, Spring Boot, React, MySQL, and AWS.
Ensure high-quality code through rigorous testing and validation.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in full stack development.


Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:


US Citizenship and eligibility to obtain a security clearance.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer.
A Computer Science or related engineering degree from a 4-year university or equivalent work experience.
Experience writing production code in a team setting.
Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
Knowledge of Java web development, preferably with Spring Boot.
Experience working with a modern JavaScript framework, preferably React.
Strong command of TypeScript.


Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:


Familiarity working in an IDE such as IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, NetBeans, and/or Visual Studio Code.
Microservices or SOA experience to effectively work with our modern microservice architecture.
Strong Linux (terminal) skills to navigate and manage our development environment.
Strong SQL skills to effectively interact with our MySQL database.
