Our product, Discourse, powers over 30,000 instances globally, making it a go-to platform for online communities. **The Role** As a Design Engineer on our Customer Solutions team, you'll be a generalist who excels in multiple areas. Your responsibilities will include: * Implementing designs in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create custom themes and components for our clients' communities * Working closely with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences * Maintaining theme additions and changes for long-term client sites * Collaborating with our Customer Success Managers to meet client needs and expectations * Estimating time and effort needed to implement design requirements * Implementing large batches of design changes to existing client themes and theme components * Prioritizing tasks effectively to manage multiple concurrent projects * Lending a hand with support on our Meta forum and directly with customers via email **We're Looking for Someone Who:** * Has strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and EmberJS or a similar JavaScript framework * Possesses excellent customer service and communication skills * Can interpret brand guidelines and implement design that conforms to them * Has familiarity with building themes for Discourse (a plus!) * Is proficient in design software like Figma or Sketch * Has experience with Git/GitHub and automated testing * Is detail-oriented, proactive, and organized * Can make decisions quickly and communicate effectively * Works well independently and remotely * Is kind to their co-workers * Is highly driven with an execution focus and a strong belief in our mission to make the internet a better place **Our Work Environment and Culture** At arenaflex, we value flexibility, autonomy, and collaboration.
