We are now seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our Information Science team, focusing on AI, machine learning, and statistical modeling to drive business growth and enhance customer experiences. About the Role As a Data Scientist at Blithequark, you will be part of a dynamic team that leverages data analysis and research to inform business decisions and drive growth. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing AI and statistical models to understand and predict subscriber behavior, including churn, upgrades/downgrades, cost responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, and causal inference. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, design experiments, and analyze results. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement AI and statistical models to understand and predict subscriber behavior, including churn, upgrades/downgrades, cost responsiveness, customer segmentation, survival analysis, and causal inference. Create and execute innovative AI strategies to address key business questions while identifying new areas to explore. Design and conduct experiments to evaluate the effects of your models and iterate based on results. Collaborate with colleagues across the organization to identify opportunities and work with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, data visualization, experimentation, and data design. Present your findings and recommendations to senior executives. Requirements Essential Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Physics, Econometrics, or Statistics. 3+ years of experience in designing, building, and evaluating practical AI solutions. Strong coding experience in at least one data programming language, such as Python or R, with additional experience in scientific libraries like Numpy, Pandas, or equivalent libraries. Proficient in analyzing data and building ML models using Python (with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, scikit-learn, etc.). Strong foundation in statistical modeling, including regression, classification, time series forecasting, causal inference, and other techniques. Experience creating interpretable mathematical models and solving complex quantitative problems that can be understood by non-technical stakeholders. Ability to extract insights and determinations from data to inform model development and business decisions. Willingness to collaborate with other data scientists, data analysts, and key stakeholders. Good understanding of SQL. Preferred Qualifications Postgraduate education in a quantitative field. Excellent analytical skills, with an advanced level of statistics knowledge. Proven abilities in selecting the right statistical tools given an data analysis problem. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with shifting needs. Strong communication skills, for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Experience with data platforms and applications like Databricks, Jupyter, Snowflake, Wind current, Github. Experience with designing and analyzing A/B testing and other experiment types. Experience thinking critically to interpret market and buyer data, ideally about a subscription service. Experience with distributed data technologies (Hive, Flash). Experience with NLP and NN models.
