About the Position As the Data Management Director, you will play a significant role in enabling Outreach and Online Education's data strategy by developing and evolving a data operations center practice. You will bring a unified operations and support capability across Outreach and Online Education's data estate, applying modern operational practices and analytical methods to strengthen our data management activities. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams on large projects, applying data-driven processes, and ensuring high standards are maintained. Key Responsibilities * Develop and evolve a data operations center practice to support a data supply chain that enables Outreach and Online Education's data and analytics needs across the organization * Apply data-driven processes to strengthen data management activities and drive business impact * Manage cross-functional teams on large projects, ensuring high standards are maintained and challenging timelines are met * Serve as the point of contact for escalation on data governance initiatives, resolving issues in a timely and effective manner * Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment with business objectives * Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve data operations and support Essential Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or business administration * At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience * Strong background in data governance, data protection regulation, and data operations * Experience working with large databases, data verification, and data management * Proven ability to manage multiple assignments with challenging timelines while maintaining high standards * Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams * Ability to think critically and solve complex problems * Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools Preferred Qualifications * Master's degree in a relevant field * Experience with cloud-based data platforms and web application development * Knowledge of data protection regulation, such as GDPR and HIPAA * Experience with data visualization tools and techniques * Certification in data governance or data operations Skills and Competencies * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Strong leadership and management skills * Ability to think critically and solve complex problems * Experience with data analytics and business intelligence tools * Knowledge of data protection regulation and data governance practices * Ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a member of our OOE IT team, you will have opportunities to grow and develop your skills and knowledge.
