Job Overview As a Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, you will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information into our database systems. This is a full-time position available for both night and day shifts, offering the flexibility to work remotely. You will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for planning, executing, and maintaining data pipelines, databases, and ETL processes for our advertising platform. Your work will have a direct impact on the quality, availability, and reliability of data for analysis and reporting, ensuring that our sponsors receive the best possible service. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing large volumes of data to support advertising on blithequark.com and its subsidiaries. Work on cloud platforms like Azure and Google Cloud for data storage, processing, and analysis. Design and implement large-scale, containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in public clouds like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure. Collaborate with other scrum teams, QA, Product, Program Management, and Partner Operations, while working closely with cross-functional project development teams. Participate in 24/7 on-call rotations to investigate production issues across cross-functional teams. Ensure data quality, availability, and reliability for analysis and reporting, and work with different teams to identify areas for improvement. Essential Qualifications Demonstrated expertise in data modeling concepts, database design, ETL processes, and data mining. Proficiency in working with data technologies including SQL, Python, Flash, Scala, Hadoop, and related tools and technologies. Experience with ETL tools like Apache Beam. Strong skills working with relational databases (e.g., Azure SQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra). Experience with real-time message processing using Apache Kafka. Experience in designing and implementing data models for efficient storage and retrieval. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with Docker and Kubernetes is a plus. Experience with Cloud Computing Services like Google GCP and Microsoft Azure, as well as Distributed Storage Systems like Hive and Elastic Search, is a plus. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present to both technical and non-technical audiences.
