Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team builds adaptable data management and extraction structures that form the backbone of our ability to uphold the most stringent data protection and cleanliness guidelines in the industry. We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team and help us expand our capacity to build robust, flexible, protection-driven data structures. As part of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, adaptable, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design high-quality data structures that enable proper handling of client personal data.

Key Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for:


Designing and implementing effective, flexible, and adaptable data pipelines to manage structured and unstructured data
Developing a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a data protection perspective
Collaborating with the data protection engineering teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to client and regulatory data requests
Maintaining and reevaluating existing datasets and pipelines
Joining a talented team of data engineers who enhance our data protection practices and mitigate legal and regulatory risks


Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


A strong passion for consumer-driven data protection and risk mitigation for the business
Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala, with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience
Strong skills in advanced SQL
Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines
A willingness to learn new technologies and develop your career


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:


Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
Knowledge of data governance and compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong communication and collaboration skills
