Job Summary As a Data Engineer in the Forecasting Core Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines to support AI models and data analysis. You will work closely with a team of software development engineers, product managers, data scientists, and business intelligence analysts to create a data infrastructure that drives business growth. Your expertise in data engineering, SQL, and scripting languages will be essential in solving complex problems and driving innovation. Key Responsibilities Design and develop scalable data solutions using AWS and Amazon internal tools. Build and maintain business logic for data transformation and ingestion pipelines. Create and maintain datasets in Amazon data lake and internal data management systems using S3/Glue. Perform data analysis and investigation to understand the impact of changes on downstream clients' use cases and construct change logic to ingest data for demand forecasting. Provide high-quality data to Amazon demand team data customers. Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 2+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines. Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages, such as Python or Java. Experience with large-scale data processing platforms, such as AWS EMR, Redshift, or S3. Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS technologies, such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions. Familiarity with non-relational databases and data stores, such as object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, and column-family databases. 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong track record of designing and implementing large-scale data pipelines. A Day in the Life As a Data Engineer in the Forecasting Core Data Engineering team, you will work closely with data scientists, business intelligence analysts, and product managers to design and implement data pipelines that support AI models and data analysis. Your day will involve: Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and design data pipelines to meet those needs. Building and maintaining large-scale data pipelines using AWS and Amazon internal tools. Performing data analysis and investigation to understand the impact of changes on downstream clients' use cases. Providing high-quality data to Amazon demand team data customers.
