You'll collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and CS business owners to develop custom visualization tools that surface CS insights, enabling a delightful, efficient experience for our customers. With a small team and a high degree of autonomy, you'll need to possess strong technical judgment, analytical aptitude, and the ability to span across the data stack. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design and develop reliable, scalable data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records) * Transform raw data into core business metrics, ensuring data quality and accuracy * Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and CS business owners to develop custom visualization tools that surface CS insights * Work with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to prioritize business problems and develop metrics * Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure data-driven decision-making * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to improve data engineering practices **Essential Qualifications:** * At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records) * Strong data modeling skills, designing structures that are adaptable to changes in the source data or business processes * Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code * Advanced SQL skills, with a focus on data quality and advocacy * Analytical aptitude, with the ability to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously * Strong communication and productive partnership with analysts, engineers, and business leaders **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience with cloud-based data engineering platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) * Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL tools (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery) * Knowledge of machine learning and AI concepts, with experience applying them to real-world problems * Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) * Strong understanding of data governance and security principles **arenaflex Culture** At arenaflex, we're committed to creating a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and innovation. Our compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $720,000.
