Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Engineer to join our team and help us design, build, and maintain cloud-based information design and curation solutions. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines that drive business insights and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
Designing and implementing data pipelines that integrate with various data sources, including cloud-based storage systems, APIs, and messaging queues
Developing and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient data processing systems using cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Collaborating with data scientists and analysts to develop and implement data models, data visualizations, and reporting tools
Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through data validation, data profiling, and data governance
Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and data analysts
Participating in code reviews, testing, and deployment of data engineering solutions
Staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in data engineering and cloud computing
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in data engineering, software development, or a related field
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala
Experience with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
Knowledge of data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Flink
Experience with data storage systems such as relational databases, NoSQL databases, or data warehouses
Strong understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data security
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be a plus:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes
Strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as Amazon Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse Analytics
