About the Role: Director, Data Analytics The Director, Data Analytics position is a member of the Store Automation and Innovation team and will be responsible for developing a set of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our initiatives. The Director will define the metrics and lead the development of the data pipeline and dashboards to distribute these metrics and report progress towards our goals to senior leadership consistently. Key Responsibilities: Identify and source data, requiring knowledge of functional business areas and scenarios, categories of data and where it is held, business data requirements, database technologies, and data quality. Analyze business issues within your discipline and challenge assumptions to help identify root causes; identify and recommend approaches to resolving business issues; and set meaningful targets based on established success criteria and key metrics. Evaluate proposed business cases for projects and initiatives, translate business requirements into strategies, and align the team to the business strategy while executing targets. Identify and recommend the most suitable visualization tools based on context and define application design based on client needs; includes building compelling stories based on context, presenting to and influencing various audiences using appropriate data visualization, and adapting communication style based on stakeholders. Provide overall direction by analyzing business objectives and clients' needs - includes developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and integrating into business plans; and determining and supporting resource requirements. Develop and utilize internal and external networks and partnerships, lead strategic community engagement and inclusion initiatives, and support stakeholders while respecting and adhering to the company's principles of integrity and ethics. What You'll Bring: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in SQL, Python, and large data tools (e.g., Hive). Proficiency with dashboarding tools (e.g., Looker) and scheduling/workflow tools (e.g., Wind current). Ability to communicate details of a metric to executives clearly. Ability to connect details of data and their impact on the business. Experience growing new metrics to track business impact. Experience leading a team of analysts. Willingness to build dashboards and reports that aggregate data from multiple sources. Preferred Qualifications: Background or education in statistics. Experience with AI and data science techniques.
