Key Responsibilities Acquire, organize, cleanse, and control large-scale, high-dimensional data from various disparate sources using tools like PySpark and advanced SQL. Build automated, flexible, repeatable, and integrated analytics using current big data architectures in data ecosystems, such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google Big Query. Apply advanced analytics techniques (data mining, statistical analysis, machine learning) to identify patterns and uncover opportunities in social data. Lead campaign, product, content, and audience analysis for business needs. Develop and track key metrics to measure success. Collaborate with Engineering and Product teams to complete data projects, contributing to solution discovery, design, build, and QA. Translate business inquiries into analytical and technical approaches, driving results through analysis of large transactional-level datasets. Communicate effectively, refining insights into concise and compelling data-driven stories and engage broadly with audiences across levels and functions. Essential Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields. Experience 2 years of analytical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Skills and Competencies Knowledge of supervised and unsupervised learning methods. Proficient in using scripting tools like PySpark/Python/R and SQL. Proficient in data analysis and visualization tools. Strong time management with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities. Preferred Qualifications Experience Experience in applying supervised and unsupervised learning techniques, such as linear and logistic regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering to derive, validate, and measure conclusions from data. Experience reporting data requirements, rules, and assumptions. Experience with data mining in distributed systems like Databricks/Google Big Query/Snowflake. Experience handling large, transactional-level datasets and interpreting data trends from various disparate data sources. Knowledge Passion for music or media industry data. Familiarity with music streaming services (Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, FB/Instagram), and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice). Graduate degree in a quantitative field, including Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related fields.
