Scope of the Role

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to policyholders who are reporting losses or damages covered by their UAIC policies. This role offers a remote work arrangement, allowing you to work from your preferred location within the Southeast region. Your primary responsibilities will include:


Acting as the first point of contact for policyholders reporting losses or damages
Gathering relevant information, such as policy details, incident specifics, and contact information
Clarifying coverage terms as needed
Offering clear and empathetic guidance to policyholders on next steps in the claims process
Explaining the required documentation and information needed to process the claim
Accurately recording all information gathered during the FNOL process in the company's claims management system
Ensuring completeness and accuracy of claim reports
Liaising with claims adjusters and inspectors to schedule assessments and inspections, if necessary
Providing adjusters with detailed information regarding the reported loss
Addressing any concerns or questions the policyholder may have
Ensuring all FNOL processes adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
Providing feedback to management on ways to improve the FNOL process for enhanced customer satisfaction and efficiency


Qualifications and Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:


A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree is a plus)
Bilingual (English & Spanish)
At least 1 year of experience in a similar customer service role, preferably in the property and casualty insurance industry
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Knowledge of property and casualty insurance policies, coverage, and claims processed is a plus
