**Key Responsibilities**
As an Experienced Fraud and Payments Associate, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Utilizing internal data and reporting tools to detect and prevent fraudulent or suspicious activity
* Gathering risk-related data from external resources to inform our risk management strategies
* Conducting manual AML and KYC checks as needed to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Verifying customer identities and authenticating documents to prevent financial crimes
* Investigating initial account issues and preparing detailed reports to be escalated to the proper departments
* Collaborating with our Customer Service team to resolve patron inquiries and issues related to payments and fraud
* Assisting in collecting data and using that data to help resolve chargeback and/or patron complaints
**Who We're Looking For**
We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in fraud and payments. The ideal candidate will have:
* At least 1 year of experience in a fraud and payments role with increasing responsibility
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make real-time decisions
* Strong knowledge of payment processes and procedures, with a focus on preventing financial crimes
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a remote team
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
**Preferred Qualifications**
While not required, previous experience in the sports/gaming or fintech space would be a significant advantage. Additionally, experience working in a startup environment can provide valuable insights and skills that would be highly beneficial in this role.
