Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Food Service Worker to join our team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our clients, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment, and providing excellent customer service. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals to clients, including salads, sauces, desserts, coffee, and tea Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, including sanitation duties and cleaning equipment Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and taking inventory Prepare documentation required for food service operations, including preparation and inventory pull sheets, production/service documentation, sanitation records, and meal delivery records Assist with training and orienting new staff members and detainee workers Monitor and direct detainee workers in tray preparation, cleanup, sanitation, and other related duties Perform other duties as assigned by management Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: A high school diploma or equivalent certification One year of food production experience in a commercial, military, or institutional setting (preferred) Experience in the field of corrections/detainee management and prior correctional food service training (preferred) Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to maintain records, files, and prepare simple reports Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Excellent customer service skills Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Attention to detail : ability to maintain accurate records and prepare high-quality meals Communication skills : ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and management Teamwork : ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve common goals Time management : ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Adaptability : ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At GEO Reentry Services LLC, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
