Job Summary In this role, you will be responsible for leading and developing teams effectively, teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, and providing feedback to ensure the highest standards of customer service and store operations. You will also be responsible for driving the financial performance and sales of the designated store area, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, and providing feedback through Tour-to-Teach Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards to store associates, following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model Manage and support customer service initiatives, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area, reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, hiring, training, and mentoring associates, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, and providing associate recognition Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments, developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have: 2 years of college; OR 1 year's retail experience and 1 year's supervisory experience; OR 2 years' general work experience and 1 year's supervisory experience Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive financial performance and sales growth Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on delivering results and achieving goals Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, with responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive financial performance and sales growth Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, with a focus on delivering results and achieving goals Strong adaptability and flexibility, with the ability to work in a changing retail environment Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Walmart, we are committed to helping our associates grow and develop their careers.
