Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Outside Reporting - Legal Entity Reporting Center of Excellence (CoE) team in Nigeria. As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, performing legal entity reviews, and providing analysis and insights to support our global operations. Key Responsibilities


Independently prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS legal reporting requirements, ensuring timely delivery against schedule.
Prepare Board and other committee reporting packs according to the delivery schedule.
Lead end-to-end legal entity reviews as directed by the Delivery Lead/Head of Legal Entity Reporting (LER), Accounting and Reporting Team, and Financial Regulator.
Prepare local GAAP to US GAAP reconciliations, assessing significant changes for GAAP differences.
Lead client calls and provide analysis of reporting data, as directed by the Delivery Lead/Head LER, Accounting and Reporting Team, and Legal Entity Financial Regulator to support senior management meetings.
Manage delivery of multiple markets simultaneously and perform peer-level review or consolidation.
Provide leadership and support to Band 28's.
Lead research as needed on GAAP, regulations, and laws.
Ensure effective controls and governance are adhered to.
Collaborate with auditors/clients to provide clarification/resolution of issues and inquiries.
Utilize Workiva Wdesk and HFM for legal, regulatory, and board reporting.
Lead projects involving automation, normalization, and other initiatives.


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications


Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in public accounting, auditing, or legal entity reporting and control.
Solid foundation in financial accounting and reporting, including understanding of regulatory requirements.
Strong understanding of IFRS/Indian GAAP and reporting requirements.
Experience with change and project management, including transition of reporting work from a shared service center.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications


Qualified Accountant/CA/CPA/ACCA with relevant experience.
High-level knowledge of IFRS GAAP and reporting requirements.
Great understanding of US GAAP and other GAAP.
Experience with Workiva Wdesk and HFM.
Strong technical accounting background and experience in accounting, legal/regulatory reporting, or legal examination.
