About the Role The successful candidate will be part of the Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team, responsible for determining and reporting merchant discount income. This is a unique opportunity to influence multiple businesses and segments by aligning the organization's objective for profitable charge volume and merchant growth, vital for the health of our business. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in driving GMS revenue and profit growth through customer-driven pricing principles, more flexible pricing architecture, and innovative pricing solutions. Key Responsibilities Create a Canada figure for merchant discount income and track monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change. Develop merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region. Drive standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities. Support external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing teams that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions. Perform ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you will need: 2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles. A Bachelor's degree required, strongly preferred in Finance/Accounting/Business. High proficiency with Excel is required. Solid attention to detail and organization. Solid analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required. Excellent communication skills - both written and oral. A strong relationship with stakeholders and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives. Solid work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, which puts a premium on driving results. An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches to getting things done and develop new ways to approach old challenges. Solid project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution. A passionate focus on the customer; demonstrated desire to understand and address customer needs and pain points. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize accordingly. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are desirable: Experience working in a remote or virtual team environment. Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques. Experience with financial planning and analysis software. Certification in finance or accounting, such as CFA or CPA.
