About the Role
We're looking for a highly analytical and strategic-minded Finance Manager to lead our Fresh Online Strategy team. As a key member of our finance organization, you'll have a pivotal role in driving business growth and profitability through comprehensive P&L modeling, decision support for strategic initiatives, and collaboration with cross-functional partners. You'll work closely with business leaders to evaluate and support strategic initiatives within the Online Grocery space, while partnering with Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Prime teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Comprehensive P&L Modeling and Decision Support: Develop and maintain comprehensive P&L models to support strategic initiatives within Online Grocery, including analysis of delivery fee structures and alternative business models.
Drive Entitlement Modeling: Lead entitlement modeling for key Online Grocery product initiatives during planning cycles, ensuring thorough analysis and strategic alignment.
Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Grocery's Prime Allocation Revenue: Work closely with the Prime team to quantify and elucidate Grocery's allocation during planning cycles.
Collaborative Strategic Modeling: Engage in collaborative strategic modeling with partners across Whole Foods Market (WFM) and Prime teams to drive cross-business projects forward.
Financial Leadership: Serve as the primary finance lead for online fresh finance endeavors, blending analytical acumen with strategic vision and interfacing with senior executives.

Basic Qualifications
5+ Years of Tax, Finance, or Analytical Field Experience: Proven experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical field, with a strong understanding of financial modeling, analysis, and decision support.
BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or Analytical Field: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), with 5+ years of finance experience, or master's degree and 3+ years of finance experience.
Preferred Qualifications
6+ Years of Identifying Incomplete or Inaccurate Data: Proven experience in identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause, and creating/implementing an escalation plan.
6+ Years of Solving Complex Business Challenges: Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business.
MBA or CPA: Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or certified public accountant (CPA) certification.
SQL/ETL and Large-Scale Data Mining Experience: Experience working with SQL/ETL and large-scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
Forecasting, Budgeting, and Variance Analysis Experience: Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
