Job Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Field Applications Engineer (FAE), where you will leverage your object-oriented design experience and technical expertise to enhance the team of sales professionals. In this role, you will engage with clients, providing vital technical support to address their needs effectively. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and conducting pre-sales technical demonstrations of products, providing on-site support and training for clients, and devising and implementing tailored solutions for customers' unique challenges.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with clients and prospects to understand their requirements and provide technical support to address their needs effectively.
Develop and conduct pre-sales technical demonstrations of products to new and existing customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our innovative solutions.
Provide on-site support and training for clients, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to get the most out of our products.
Devise and implement tailored solutions for customers' unique challenges, leveraging your technical expertise and creativity to deliver exceptional results.
Generate comprehensive technical support documentation, ensuring that our customers have access to the information they need to succeed.
Coordinate and actively participate in marketing activities and events such as trade shows, helping to promote our brand and products to a wider audience.


Must-Haves
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

Strong multitasking, prioritization, and follow-through capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Self-motivation and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, with a strong sense of accountability and responsibility.
Extensive software development expertise in C, C++, and Python, with a strong understanding of object-oriented design principles.
Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems, including configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
Familiarity with embedded tools and development environments, including compilers, debuggers, and IDEs.
Background in technical sales support, with a strong understanding of the sales process and customer needs.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly comprehend and understand code developed by others.
Willingness to travel, with a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
Eligibility to work for any employer in the US without requiring sponsorship.


Nice-to-Haves
While not essential, the following skills and qualifications would be highly desirable:

Knowledge of Embedded RTOS (e.g., QNX, VxWorks, INTEGRITY, ThreadX, FreeRTOS, etc.), with experience in developing and configuring these systems.
Experience with Embedded development tools, including compilers, debuggers, and IDEs.
Familiarity with embedded safety and security platforms, including design, development, and testing.
Proficiency in developing BSPs (Board Support Packages) and device drivers for embedded operating systems.


Education
We are looking for candidates with a strong educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field of study. A Bachelor's or Master's degree is required, with a strong academic record and relevant coursework.
