Job Summary and Key Responsibilities As a Federal Program Tutor Advisor, you will play a vital role in providing instructional support services to students in need of academic intervention. Under the direct supervision of a certified teacher, you will work closely with students to provide one-on-one tutoring, assist with classroom management, and compile and maintain accurate student records. Your responsibilities will include: Providing one-on-one tutoring to students who require additional academic support Assisting with classroom management, including organizing instructional materials and maintaining a productive learning environment Compiling and maintaining accurate student records, including attendance, testing results, and progress reports Providing instructional support services under the direct supervision of a certified teacher Conducting parent involvement activities, including contacting parents/legal guardians to encourage their active participation in their child's education Coordinating parent/family school functions and attending meetings and parent conferences to facilitate communication between students, parents, and instructors Providing support in a library or media center, including assisting with research and reading activities Conducting progress monitoring assessments and maintaining accurate progress monitoring data Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: A high school diploma or equivalent, plus two years of college (at least 48 semester credits) or an associate's degree Ability to maintain effective communication with students and staff, and to function effectively as a team member Ability to carry out and evaluate the achievement of students after the teacher prepares the lesson and plans the instructional support activities Ability to test and identify and keep accurate records on new and existing students Demonstrated adequate level of instructional technology skills Experience and training working with children with diverse backgrounds in an instructional setting Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are preferred: A bachelor's degree in education or a related field Teaching certification or experience working as a tutor or teacher Experience working with students who require special education services Fluency in a second language, particularly Spanish or other languages commonly spoken in the United States Experience with progress monitoring assessments and data analysis Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Workwarp, we are committed to providing our employees with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
