About the Role As a Fair Housing Communications Specialist within our Community Development Business Portfolio, you will play a vital role in supporting the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) programs that support Fair Housing professionals. Your expertise in communications, design, and marketing will be essential in advancing our brand and outreach efforts, crafting compelling communications, designing impactful graphics, and executing strategic marketing campaigns. You will work closely with various teams to enhance our brand presence and engage with our audience effectively. Key Responsibilities Support technical assistance engagements on efforts related to fair housing, affordable housing, and community development Advance our brand and outreach efforts through creative communications and marketing strategies Craft communications, design graphics, and execute strategic marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility and engagement Contribute to the development and deployment of communications, outreach, and training resources, including case studies, webinars, in-person events, and other communications Ensure that all work performed is high quality, on-budget, and delivered promptly Support logistics and materials for small and large webinars and conferences Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or other relevant field Minimum of 1 year supporting Communications for Fair Housing programs Minimum 5 years of proven experience in social justice, communications, graphic design, and marketing roles A Master's Degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 3 years related proven experience in social justice, communications, graphic design, and marketing roles may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience A minimum of 9 years of experience in social justice, communications, graphic design, and marketing roles may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience Preferred Skills and Experience We are looking for candidates with: Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) Experience with social media management, data analytics, and digital marketing tools Relevant experience in social justice, fair housing, or community development Strong writing and editing skills with keen attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively and balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Creative thinking with strong problem-solving capabilities Ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and efficiently meet deadlines Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience with video editing and production Knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices Familiarity with web design and basic HTML/CSS Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills, including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At ICF, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
