Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician and Manager I to join our team. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of our Huntington Gateway Center property, including the grounds and physical facility. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our organization. Although initially advertised as a fully remote opportunity, please note that this role is actually an in-office position located at 5555 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities Project planning, budgeting, and all aspects of maintenance, construction, relocation, and remodeling Developing work processes for vendors and contractors Communicating with internal colleagues and customers Operating our Facilities Management work order system Participating in staff and departmental meetings Completing required in-person and online training sessions Visiting every assigned property quarterly and completing annual site assessments Providing support to our Functional Coordinator, Facilities Manager II, and Regional Facility Manager Self-performing 40-60% of non-contracted services, including interim HVAC filter changes, lighting repairs, plumbing repairs, electrical repairs, exterior repairs, and interior repairs Verifying vendor performance and pricing Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in facilities management, maintenance, and repair. The following qualifications are required: High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years of Facilities Management experience, including basic preventative maintenance of multiple facilities, minor repairs involving plumbing, heating/cooling, basic electrical repairs, and furniture moves Prior experience with creating and maintaining a budget for facility repairs and vendor proposal reviews Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Knowledge of emergency generator systems and HVAC Preferred qualifications include: Experience with Facilities Management software Trade certifications Leadership experience, including organizing workflow, reviewing the work of others, and setting team goals Excellent written and verbal communication skills Good project management skills, including budgeting and documentation Ability to lift loads of up to 50 pounds Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong technical skills, including knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Career Growth and Development At Huntington, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
