About the Role As an Evening Customer Care Associate at blithequark, you will be the frontline representative for our members, providing personalized assistance and guidance as they navigate the healthcare system. Your primary focus will be on answering incoming calls, responding to healthcare questions and issues, and determining the most appropriate resolution to meet our members' needs. Key Responsibilities Assist members in navigating the healthcare system by answering a variety of incoming calls and responding to their healthcare questions and issues. Determine the appropriate resolution to assist members based on their needs, ensuring adherence to department and corporate policies and procedures. Connect with members by phone, quickly developing a rapport to help them navigate their benefit choices and options. Transfer calls outside the scope of responsibility to the appropriate internal or external resource. Process calls in specific queues (e.g., triage, biometric, etc.) based on assignment. Verify and collect appropriate demographic information, updating it in the appropriate system. Follow up with members, providers, insurance carriers, and other vendors to ensure adherence to established policies. Exercise exceptional customer service skills to optimize each contact with the member. Ensure that calls are processed in strict adherence to established policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable federal laws and regulations. Research Assistance and Issue Resolution In addition to your customer-facing responsibilities, you will also play a critical role in assisting in the resolution of routine program quality issues. This includes identifying issues, researching them in a timely manner, and following through until resolution. You will document all issues thoroughly, maintaining department files, and continuously evaluate the status of all work efforts to prioritize tasks and provide timely and quality services. Team Interfaces and Customer Service Establishing and maintaining professional relationships with internal and external customers, team members, and department contacts is crucial in this role. You will cooperate with team members to meet goals or complete tasks, providing quality customer service that exceeds customer expectations and improves the level of service being provided. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following minimum qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D. Associate's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, liberal arts, healthcare, or a related field preferred. Minimum of one year of customer service experience required. Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel required. Must score acceptably on job-related testing. Ability to pass a standardized interview. Preferred qualifications include experience in a healthcare setting, knowledge of healthcare systems, and certifications in customer service or a related field.
