**The Role**
We're seeking an Experienced Entry-Level Mechatronics Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team, responsible for developing and refining products and processes for use in the automated logistics industry. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you'll be working on a wide range of projects, from programming and electrical design to mechanical and electromechanical design. This role requires travel up to 10%, both domestically and internationally, sometimes on short notice.
**Key Responsibilities**
• **Programming and Code Development**: Assist in the programming of PLC software for new product development, creating and maintaining code libraries for standard equipment, and researching and testing of electromechanical technologies to support arenaflex products.
• **Design and Documentation**: Contribute to the definition and documentation of software design guidelines, evaluating existing control processes and implementing suggested improvements.
• **Testing and Quality Assurance**: Deliver quality by creating test plans, running risk analyses, and properly testing code, participating in hands-on equipment testing to validate functionality.
• **Collaboration and Communication**: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution, communicating effectively with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

**Required Areas of Experience/Knowledge**
• **PLC Languages**: Proficiency in PLC languages, such as Ladder Logic, Structured Text, and other relevant programming languages.
• **Industrial Fieldbus**: Experience with industrial fieldbus protocols, including Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Profibus, ControlNet, DeviceNet, ASi, Modbus, and other relevant protocols.
• **Simulation/Emulation**: Familiarity with simulation and emulation of equipment, including software and hardware tools.
• **Mechanical & Electrical Design**: Understanding of mechanical and electrical design principles, including design software and tools.
• **HMI**: Experience with Human-Machine Interface (HMI) design and development.
**Preferred Areas of Experience/Knowledge**
• **Allen Bradley PLC Platform**: Experience with the Allen Bradley PLC platform, including software and hardware tools.
• **SCADA**: Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems and protocols.
• **Industrial Machinery**: Experience with industrial machinery and automation systems.
**Education/Experience**
• **Bachelor’s Degree**: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (or equivalent).
• **Relevant Experience**: Relevant work experience in mechatronics engineering, automation, or a related field.
