**Experienced Entry-Level Dock Operations Specialist – Freight Handling and Logistics**

Our team is passionate about delivering results, and we're always looking for talented individuals who share our vision and values. **Job Summary** As an Entry-Level Dock Operations Specialist, you'll be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to freight handling, including loading and unloading trailers, verifying documentation, and securing freight. You'll work closely with our team to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. **Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities** * Perform freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks * Verify documentation matches freight description, using current electronic or manual systems * Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies, such as pallets, straps, and rope * Recoup or repair damaged freight when necessary * Verify and complete required documentation and reports * Assist customers with freight and freight documentation as needed * Perform hostling duties if required * Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures * Perform other duties as required **Qualifications** * High school diploma or equivalent, preferred * Must be at least 18 years of age * Prior experience in warehousing, freight handling, and/or forklift operations preferred * If hostler/yard mule duties are required, experience preferred * Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator * Basic written and verbal communication skills * Ability to lift/carry hand freight of varying weights several times a week, to lift dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds, and to open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of lift force, up to several times per day or more * Ability to bend, twist, squat, pushing/pulling freight throughout shift * Ability to work independently and/or as a team member * Previous dock/warehouse experience preferred **Working Conditions** * Dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, and noise * Hours may vary due to operational need * Frequent contact with service center personnel; fast-paced, deadline-oriented **Why Join blithequark?** * Competitive compensation and benefits package * Opportunities for career growth and development * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Recognition and rewards for outstanding performance * Comprehensive training and development programs * Access to cutting-edge technology and equipment **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about logistics and customer service, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
