Key Responsibilities
Demonstrate a broad understanding of enterprise data storage environments
Implement and maintain enterprise backup and data security technologies
Efficiently manage and monitor reporting platforms and software
Define and implement trend storage design strategies, based on industry standards and best practices
Interface and communicate with application, database, server, and other technology teams on architecture and configuration selection to ensure suitable storage technology and design
Show strong organizational skills to adapt and prioritize tasks in a continually changing environment
Contribute clear and concise documentation for both routine and irregular tasks
Provide technical support and guidance on complex activities like installation, configuration, and backup/restore operations for all systems
Perform code updates and security patching to maintain the integrity of storage systems
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
3 years of experience in data storage or a related field with an emphasis on networking and storage protocols
Industry knowledge and experience with large-scale SAN design and implementation
Proven expertise in enterprise storage administration, with expertise in DellEMC, Cisco, and similar OEMs
A strong grasp of current and emerging data protection technologies
Experience with NAS concepts and protocols (CIFS, NFS, and S3)
Knowledge of data synchronization technologies for both SAN and NAS
Operating system administration skills (both Linux and Windows)
VMWare concepts and administration
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Computer Science or a related discipline (a combination of training, work experience, and education may be considered)
Strong professional skills, including the ability to provide clear and well-organized documentation
Excellent organizational skills and determination in completing assigned work
