About the Role: English Teaching Assistant We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated English Teaching Assistant to join our team of remote educators. As an English Teaching Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting our students in their academic journey, particularly in English courses with a focus on writing, essay development, and composition skills. You will work closely with our instructors to provide individualized support to students, lead discussion sections, and grade assignments. Key Responsibilities: Support a group of 30-40 students online within one of our business or general education courses Act as a teacher, mentor, and coach to students as they learn new skills and develop as professionals Attend lectures within the 11-week term (held between 9:00am-1:00pm ET or 6:00pm-10:00pm ET) Lead discussion sections once per week Host 1-hour of office hours per week Grade assignments for 30-40 students per course Time Commitment: 8-10 hours per week Requirements: Bachelor's degree in English, Writing, or related field Teaching or tutoring experience in writing and essay development Nice to Haves: Current graduate student or business professional Experience teaching or tutoring online Ability to TA for multiple quarters and/or multiple discussion sections Upcoming 2024-2025 Quarters: We have several quarters available for the upcoming academic year, including: Fall | October 7, 2024 - December 19, 2024 Winter | January 13, 2025 Spring | April 7, 2025 - June 19, 2025 Summer | July 7, 2025 - September 18, 2025 Fall | October 6, 2025 - December 18, 2025 What You'll Get: As an English Teaching Assistant at Campus, you will receive: $2,000 per 4-credit course/11 week quarter $1,185 per 1-2 credit course/11 week quarter Ability to create a teaching schedule that works for you Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Campus, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop in their careers.
