About the Role: English Language Arts Tutor We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic English Language Arts Tutor to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. As a tutor with arenaflex, you will work closely with students to develop their skills in English Language Arts, including reading, writing, and homework preparation. Our ideal candidate is an experienced tutor and/or teacher with a solid understanding of the education field and a passion for inspiring students to reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality tutoring sessions in English Language Arts, including high school level language arts and writing, and homework preparation Adapt to different learning styles and needs, ensuring each student receives personalized attention and support Prepare session reports for our office and families within 24 hours of each tutoring session Effectively balance tutoring hours for each assigned student, ensuring consistent progress and development Service existing clients' concerns, questions, and requests in a professional and timely manner Follow up with our office when a student's enrollment package is low on hours, ensuring seamless continuation of services Subjects and Areas of Focus: High school and/or middle school composition Reading fluency Language arts Reading comprehension Homework preparation Test anxiety strategies Essential Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field and industry preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience in tutoring/teaching in specialized education fields preferred Credentialed tutors and/or graduate degrees are a plus but not a requirement Experience with basic database/data entry and strong administration skills Ability to prepare accordingly for each tutoring session, including lesson planning and organization Strong typing, PC, and recording skills, with access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone Reliable transportation with current car insurance is a must, as well as a personality suited for different types of students Preferred Qualifications: Graduate degree in Education or a related field Specialized training or certification in English Language Arts or a related subject area Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues Skills and Competencies: Strong knowledge of English Language Arts, including reading, writing, and grammar Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs, with a patient and supportive approach Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong organizational and time management abilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive approach Career Growth and Learning Benefits: At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our tutors and employees.
