Experienced Energy Project Manager for Remote Contract Position - Energy Efficiency Program Development & Execution

About the Role As an Energy Project Manager at Workwarp, you'll play a critical role in driving the development and execution of energy efficiency programs, particularly in the New York State commercial and multifamily market. You'll leverage your technical expertise, project management skills, and creativity to manage multiple projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet their scope, schedule, and budget objectives. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute program solicitations and offerings, driving energy efficiency initiatives in the commercial and multifamily sectors. Manage and mentor Efficiency Planning & Engineering staff, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes. Oversee projects from initiation to completion, managing scope, schedule, and budgets to ensure timely and within-budget delivery. Foster and develop relationships with key stakeholders, increasing coordination and driving program success. Manage contractors and program support agreements, ensuring seamless execution and issue resolution. Support the development and refinement of PONs and RFPs, driving program growth and improvement. Make recommendations for improvements to client's strategies and business processes, leveraging your expertise to drive program optimization. Support program reporting, ensuring accurate and timely data delivery. Perform other duties as assigned to support the key outcomes of the Efficiency Planning & Engineering Team. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A minimum of 3 years of experience in energy efficiency program development and execution, particularly in the New York State commercial and/or multifamily market. Proven project management skills, with the ability to successfully multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience in people management, with a track record of mentoring and guiding team members. Excellent external and customer communications skills, both written and verbal. High-level Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to perform Pivot tables, advanced formulas, and advanced data analysis of complex data sets. A self-starter mentality, with the ability to function independently and in teams. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will make you a more competitive candidate: In-depth analytical and technical expertise in energy technology deployment issues. Demonstrated creativity in project and program development, with a track record of driving new program directions and technical strategies. Extensive awareness of social, economic, and environmental contexts of energy technology deployment issues. Experience in managing complex projects, with a proven ability to obtain co-funding or leverage private resources. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong technical and professional skills, with a deep understanding of energy efficiency programs and technologies. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage, and self-initiate multiple assignments. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders. A proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to navigate fast-paced and dynamic environments.
