Key Responsibilities
As an Elementary School Music Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality music lessons to our elementary school students. Your key responsibilities will include:

Lesson Planning: Developing and implementing engaging music lesson plans that cater to the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities
Teaching: Delivering music lessons to elementary school students, using a range of teaching methods and materials to promote student learning and engagement
Assessment: Assessing student progress and understanding, using a range of assessment strategies and tools to inform teaching and learning
Communication: Communicating with parents, colleagues, and other stakeholders to ensure that students receive the support they need to succeed
Professional Development: Participating in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with best practices in music education and to continuously improve teaching and learning


Qualifications and Expectations
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications and expectations:

BA/BS from an Accredited College or University: A degree in music or a related field, with a valid Colorado teaching license endorsed in music or a related area
Valid Colorado Teaching License: Endorsed in music or a related area, with passing exam scores on the PRAXIS II exam (if required)
Experience: Previous experience teaching music to elementary school students, with a proven track record of success in promoting student learning and engagement
Skills and Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
