Job Summary and Key Responsibilities As an EL Paraprofessional (Secondary) 9, you will be responsible for providing instructional support to students in a secondary setting. Your primary duties will include: Academic support : Provide targeted support to students in core instruction, including assisting with lesson plans, delivering instruction, and monitoring progress. Communication and collaboration : Work closely with regular teaching staff to support core instruction, communicate with families, and participate in after-school tutoring when applicable. Instructional support : Assist with instructional activities, including preparing materials, setting up equipment, and providing individualized support to students. Record keeping and confidentiality : Maintain accurate records, maintain confidentiality, and handle sensitive information with discretion. Technology integration : Use technology to support instruction, including educational software, online resources, and digital tools. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: Essential Qualifications: Associates Degree in Education or Parapro Praxis Certificate and High School Diploma : We're looking for candidates with a strong educational background or equivalent experience. Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (desired) : A teaching certificate is preferred, but not required. Bilingual (desired) : Proficiency in multiple languages is an asset, but not required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with diverse student populations : We're looking for candidates with experience working with students from diverse backgrounds.
