Job Summary
As an eCornell Online Course Facilitator - Computational Fluid Dynamics, you will be responsible for facilitating online courses in Computational Fluid Dynamics, working closely with Cornell University faculty and eCornell staff to deliver high-quality education to our students. You will share your expertise and experience in fluid dynamics and computational modeling, and help students apply theoretical concepts to real-world problems.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate online courses in Computational Fluid Dynamics, including 2D laminar flows, 3D turbulent flows, rotating machinery flows, and compressible flows
Share your applied experience in fluid dynamics and computational modeling with working adults from around the world
Encourage student engagement and discussion using online platforms
Assess and provide relevant feedback on student assignments
Collaborate with eCornell staff to contribute to continuous improvement and student engagement
Participate in onboarding and training to ensure a smooth transition into the role
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from a regionally-accredited institution (or non-US equivalent)
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with fluid dynamics, computational dynamics, or related disciplines
Strong familiarity with ANSYS and computational modeling
Exceptional communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely
Comfortable using technology effectively for communication, instruction, and/or coaching
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability and qualifications to facilitate courses in eCornell certificates beyond those listed above
Strong familiarity with programming languages, especially MATLAB and Python
Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentorship experience in related disciplines
Online instructional experience, particularly using Integrated Development Environments
