Experienced Dock Coordinator for Day Shifts - Warehouse Operations Management

About the Role As a Dock Coordinator, you will be responsible for directing our workforce in the coordination of inbound and outbound activities for daily warehouse operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your leadership skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Direct inbounds to specific docks or areas for unloading and ensure efficient storage of products. Coordinate the workload of hi-lo drivers, assigning tasks and ensuring accurate documentation of inbound and outbound activities. Validate IBTs (Inter-Company Billing Transactions) for accuracy and compliance, and maintain records of transactions. Oversee the staging of built pallets and ensure the cleanliness of work areas. Inspect the condition of trailers and tractors, and verify product for destruction. Communicate performance issues to supervisors and coordinate with carriers and vendors. Track carrier in/out times, assign picking tasks to available resources, and sequence loads to teams and employees. Utilize SAP to receive and create IBTs, and maintain the OOS (Out of Stock) table in POD. View warehouse stock reports (DSI reports) and coordinate trailers to docks for outbound loading. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or GED; a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Excellent analytical, planning, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in PC systems and software applications, with the ability to quickly pick up technical knowledge. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to delegate tasks and motivate team members. Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve, with strong conflict resolution and leadership skills. Customer-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Preferred Skills and Competencies In addition to the essential qualifications, we are looking for candidates with: Experience in warehouse operations management or a similar role. Knowledge of SAP and other warehouse management systems. Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
