About the Role: Director - Client Management - Virtual We're seeking an experienced Director of Client Management to lead a team of Senior Client Managers in managing and growing our merchant relationships across Southern California. As a key member of our team, you'll oversee a portfolio of diverse clients across B2B and B2C companies, driving revenue growth, and delivering innovative insights and solutions to our clients. Key Responsibilities: Lead a team of 5 Senior Client Managers to manage, deepen, and improve relationships with 400+ respected brands, driving revenue growth and improving share. Develop, lead, and motivate a top-performing team to retain and drive incremental business across B2B and B2C companies. Cultivate a culture of learning, strong challenger coaching skills, and consultative relationship management within your team. Oversee the maintenance and strengthening of American Express' business by showcasing value, growing revenue, improving share, and increasing profitability. Stay up-to-date with the fast-changing payments landscape, keeping current with payment trends and economic/competitive indicators. Partner with internal colleagues to develop partnership and marketing assets relevant to your customer base. Model key sales behaviors/skills and balance deal and skill coaching to drive team success. Increase Merchant Satisfaction and maximize profits with an enterprise approach. Essential Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you'll need: A proven track record of leading high-performing teams in a sales or client management environment. Strong coaching and development skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire your team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. A deep understanding of the payments landscape and current trends. Experience working with diverse clients across B2B and B2C companies. A strong business acumen, with the ability to drive revenue growth and improve profitability. Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications will be highly regarded: Previous experience working with American Express or a similar payments company. A proven track record of driving business growth through innovative solutions and partnerships. Experience working in a remote or virtual environment. A strong understanding of sales analytics and performance metrics.
