Experienced Data Scientist for Real-World Evidence and Analytics – Remote Opportunity with arenaflex

As a Data Scientist for Real-World Evidence (RWE) and Analytics at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in producing RWE via superior analytics and progressive processes inside the medical trials space. You will be part of the Scientific Affairs group, responsible for driving internal and external decision-making through the application of advanced data technology and era. Job Responsibilities In this position, you will conduct state-of-the-art data analysis to assist in addressing critical business questions. Your key responsibilities will include: Converting raw data sets into standardized, evaluation-ready patient cohorts from in-house data assets or certified systems, analyzing and interpreting results, and helping shape analytics strategy Partnering with other members of the arenaflex Clinical Trial team to provide actionable insights from real-world, clinical, and other data assets to support biopharmaceutical RWE and clinical trial requests Cleaning, transforming, and storing data into an integrated data lake for future analysis and broader team consumption Performing data mining and statistical analysis to investigate RWE/RWD to locate new insights concerning patient populations and treatment outcomes Supporting the development of real-world data, analytics, and platform capabilities, applying advanced analytics and tools to address clinical questions from biopharmaceutical companies Collaborating on the design and execution of outcomes research studies Ensuring high-quality, rigorous, and interpretable deliverables from RWE research and analyses Building dashboards, analytics, and reports for internal and external consumption Conducting due diligence on new real-world data vendors and powering RWD quality tests to inform investment decisions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree or graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience in a quantitative or computational role 4 years of experience in R, Python, or SQL Experience in designing and executing strong and reproducible statistical analyses in the context of epidemiology and observational studies with healthcare data Knowledge of common statistical testing methods, including generalized linear models, classification and discrimination, decision trees, unsupervised learning, time series analysis, and survival analysis Experience processing large data from diverse data sources Experience handling protected patient health information Knowledge of at least one of the following: Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Spotfire, or other BI intelligence tools Preferred Qualifications Preferred candidates will have: A Ph.D. or Master's degree in statistics/biostatistics, computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related field Expertise in EMR/Health IT, disease registries, and insurance claims databases Expertise in clinical data standards, clinical terminologies, and managed vocabularies used in healthcare data and ontologies (ICD9/10/ReadCode) Experience in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and/or regulatory compliance guidelines for real-world evidence research or clinical trials (e.g., ISO, MDD/MDR, CFR) Experience working on alternative data sources and alternative methods of clinical data collection, particularly those enabled by technology systems and/or solutions Experience with experimental design, Bayesian modeling, sequential data, computational statistics Understanding of machine learning and systems learning techniques, ability to maintain self-learning of technical and non-technical skills Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality work Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
