About This Job We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to join our team, working part-time and remotely. As a Data Scientist at arenaflex, you will be an integral part of our Data, Analysis, Reports, and Business Operations team, collaborating cross-functionally with data engineers, business analysts, and external vendors to drive informed decision-making through data analysis and insights. Key Responsibilities Extract data from various databases, perform exploratory data analysis, cleanse, massage, and aggregate data to support business intelligence and decision-making. Determine the analytical approach to solve business problems, incorporating machine learning algorithms where appropriate. Utilize scaling and automation to streamline data preparation processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy. Translate model results into actionable insights, presenting complex data in a clear and concise manner through visualization, tables, and interactive presentations, and providing technical and non-technical stakeholders with guidance on how to interpret and apply the analysis. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you should possess: A Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline, such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related field. A minimum of 2+ years of industry experience in data science, with a strong foundation in predictive and statistical modeling, machine learning, and data analysis. Experience building complex datasets from multiple sources, both internal and external, and a solid understanding of SQL, database management, and ETL processes, including data cleaning and management. Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or other relevant platforms. The ability to apply knowledge of multidisciplinary business principles and practices to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities. Excellent communication and teaching skills, with the ability to educate others on statistical and machine learning techniques. A self-starter mentality, with attention to detail, results-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision. Experience working on Cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or similar technologies is preferred.
