About the Role As a Data Scientist on our team, you'll be working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement robust solutions that drive efficiency, automation, and improved supplier experiences. Your expertise in data analysis, modeling, and visualization will be instrumental in helping us achieve our goals. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement models, tools, and algorithms to enhance processes related to HCB's case environment, focusing on efficiency and automation. Identify and quantify opportunities for analysis to improve efficiency and increase automation in claims processing and adjustment. Create, validate, and execute algorithms and predictive models to investigate issues, identify patterns, and recommend solutions. Analyze, examine, and interpret large volumes of data in various formats to solve complex business problems. Utilize advanced statistical techniques and numerical analysis to drive business insights. Design and implement data pipelines to integrate, aggregate, and normalize data that generates insights and addresses reporting needs. Employ data visualization techniques to communicate analytical results effectively and support business decisions. Develop and evaluate the data needs of assigned programs, ensuring data integrity and recommending additional data sources for improvement. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics). At least 2+ years of relevant analytical experience, preferably in a healthcare or related industry. Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python. Experience working with SQL and data querying. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience will be considered a plus: Advanced degrees or certifications in data science, analytics, or related fields. Experience working with large datasets and data warehousing. Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques. Familiarity with data visualization tools and technologies. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need to possess: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools, such as R, Python, and SQL. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and drive results-oriented projects.
