Job Overview The Business Examination group at arenaflex is seeking an experienced Data Scientist, Business Analytics to lead key cross-functional projects for both energy and automotive business units. Key Responsibilities Contribute to all phases of data science projects, from interpreting complex business problems into data science issues to performing data analysis and modeling, and providing solutions to the business Design and maintain complex data pipelines, supporting the team's mission in democratizing data and enabling a data-driven organization, in collaboration with Data Analysts, Data Engineers, Machine Learning (ML) Specialists, and Product Managers Effectively communicate significant insights to all levels of the organization with varying levels of data science understanding and backgrounds Collaborate closely with leadership, engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver meaningful business insights Apply various ML, advanced analytics, and visualization techniques to diverse datasets across the organization Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Economics, or Engineering) 2+ years of equivalent experience in a quantitative field, with a strong background in data science and analytics Results-oriented mindset with strong business acumen and in-depth data science skills Solid written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization Proven track record of extracting data insights and building ML models, particularly in business analytics (or related) areas Expertise in SQL and Python, particularly in standard data science libraries and frameworks like pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, Tensorflow/PyTorch, PySpark, etc. Proficiency in at least one visualization tool, such as Tableau, Streamlit, etc. Ability to work with large and complex datasets, structured or unstructured, and to self-start and work independently in an unstructured environment Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Applied Mathematics, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Statistics, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Economics, or Engineering) 5+ years of equivalent experience in a quantitative field, with a strong background in data science and analytics Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Knowledge of agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git Experience with data engineering tools, such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, or Apache Kafka Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
